Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman has been an outstanding professor of psychology since 1993. She is also the director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. She was widely credited for initiating the modern study of memory recall by eyewitnesses, and the role of children in witnessing. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer who has received many awards and grants. She has collaborated with numerous organisations and governments all over the world to conduct studies and policy issues pertaining to children who have been victimized by the justice system. She serves as an expert consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of many professional organizations including The Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). Professor Goodman is also a part of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the President of the The American Psychological Association's 3 divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice.
